PLE Annual Conference 2017


"What is good quality Physical Learning Environment?"
National Conference Physical Learning Environment (PLE), 24-25 October 2017, Trondheim, Norway. 

This year, the conference day 1 has an international aspect, with presentations from New Zealand and Finland, both held in English, before school visits or kindergarten visits.  We would therefore like to give a special invitation to international guests to participate on day 1.  Even day 2 has a two hour workshop in English, and you are of course most welcome to join both days.

Program Highlights

Reino Tapaninen

Reino Tapaninen is working as a Chief architect at the Finnish National Agency for Education (Opetushallitus) as expert in physical learning environment, responsible for developing and guidelining the school design and construction in Finland.
At the conference Tapaninen will speak about the changes in the Finnish curriculum, and how these changes are affecting physical learning environment.

Chris Watson 

Post Occupancy Occupancy Evaluation (POE). 
Chris Watson is a New Zealand architect introducing Post Occupancy Evaluation to Norway to support communication about building quality.

School visits

After lunch day one it will be possible to take part in one of these following four visits:

  • Kindergartens
  • Primary schools (6-12 years)
  • Secondary schools (13-15 years)
  • High schools (16-18 years)

  • Single Day October (including lunch and schools visits): 2350,- NOK
  • Event Dinner:    650,-  NOK
  • Cost pr. night, pr. person, Radisson Blu Royal Garden Hotel:  1125,- NOK
